Madrid Fusion Manila is a global event envisioned to showcase an encounter between Spanish and Filipino chefs to celebrate over 300 years of shared history. Trade ExhibitA showcase of Spanish and Filipino premium products such as Spanish wines, cheeses, sausages, hams, beers, and sweets, as well as, Philippine rice, cacao, coffee, mango, coconut, liqueurs, chocolates, cheeses, nuts and artisanal salts. 3. Flavors of the Philippines FestivalA month-long cultural and gastronomic feast around the Philippines featuring a Tapas Festival, gourmet meals by celebrity chefs in restaurants, gastronomy-related cultural events, food tours and tastings, roving food trucks, bar crawls, etc. GFS’s Participation· What is GFS’s participation in Madrid Fusion Manila? We came in as a platinum partner with monetary sponsorship plus PR and ad placements about the affair. We also participated in the trade exhibit showcasing foodservice products carried by San Miguel Pure Foods. Application of these products was presented through food sampling and a Spanish-inspired Tapas Bar. And why are these the products we featured? During the trade exhibit, we showcased food service products according to category - dairy, value added meats, canned meats & vegetables, convenience products, flour and baking ingredients, and fats, oil, and spreads. It's our way of communicating that we truly are a one-stop source for foodservice needs, given our wide range of product offerings. · How does participating in Madrid Fusion Manila support the strategies of GFS in achieving SMPFC’s goals? - One of the objectives of Madrid Fusion Manila is to promote the Philippines as the center of culinary excellence in Asia. For the organizers, this initiative will serve its purpose well if the pillars of the Philippine food industry will join them in the mission. Hence, we were tapped as a partner. From our end, we see value in supporting projects that have a huge impact in the culinary industry. · How did we position our products during the event? It's more of positioning GFS as the one-stop source for food service needs. We also communicated that our offerings are more than just products, we provide total business solutions. · How was the experience of being part of the biggest culinary event in the country? As an event partner, we weren't just given the opportunity to promote products at the trade exhibit, we also had a chance to send representatives at the international gastronomy congress which was really the highlight of the 3-day affair. Culinary ideas were overflowing as Michelin-starred chefs from Spain and Asia shared their knowledge on latest food trends and culinary techniques. It was indeed a very significant learning opportunity for all participants.
